Honoring our graduating Seniorssdcc story post
Senior honoring is a time when we reflect on, and celebrate the spiritual, academic, athletic and personal achievements of our seniors. A member from each senior’s family shares a summary of their honoree’s life and accomplishments. Their story are followed by a personal slideshow. Starting with their youngest years, the slideshow chronicles their growth from childhood into the accomplished young men and women they are now. In addition to their shared stories and photographs, Rayshon & Morgan Roberts displayed the groups unique bond to each other through personal poems written for each senior. After the personal stories and poems were shared, a slideshow of the seniors all together was shown representing their last moments together before they journey onto their different paths. To close out the evening, Paul and Kerry Shultz led us as we prayed over the graduates. As these young men and women are sent off, we remind them that this is still their home, and love them as teens one last time before they experience life without us and each other. Together we hope for their amazing futures.
We honor Mckenna Sheets, Jordyn Rydal, Kole Foster, Calvin Averskill, Nicolas Konzen, Aileen Blomdal, Marissa Talle, Jonathan Mckee, Aurora Hall.
To The Seniors from Rayshon & Morgan,
Through our times together, highs and lows, you have made for yourself a special place in our hearts. In our walk together, we have built each other up and because of you someone has learned something new. Although our time with you in the teen ministry has gone, our love for you will never end. We hope we have brought you years of joy as you have for us. And as always, we pray that you let God guide your life and lead you in the way everlasting…….”’For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you,’ declares the Lord,‘and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’”
