The San Diego Church of Christ empty nester’s ministry is a diverse and thriving group intent on being fruitful and purposeful during this season in life.

Empty Nester's Ministry

The Bible tells us there are many seasons to life. Gone are the days of hectic, demanding, childrearing season of life, enter the amazing season of opportunity – the empty nest.

Empty nester with passion to change the world? Welcome!

The Empty Nester’s Ministry in the San Diego Church is a remarkable, faithful, fruitful, multiplying, electric, prayerful ministry! It ministers to a large and diverse demographic of our congregation as it’s made up of inspiring brothers and sisters of all cultures, talents and backgrounds.

Statistics tell us that, chances are, more than one-third of our lifespan still awaits us when we enter the “empty nest.” Its arrival shouldn’t surprise us; it’s hovered on the horizon since our children’s births.

Does the empty nest mean it’s time to slow down and take a back seat to life?  By no means!  It surely presents opportunities to reassess and ask ourselves “What is my mission for these years of my life?”.  Reconnecting better with old friends and making new friends.  Giving to the younger generation. Learning new skills, hobbies and even life lesson.  All opportunities in this time in life to be fruitful and purposeful and continually fulfilled!
