Into the WildernessSammy Silipo
How strong is your faith when you are alone; just you and GOD?
Our San Diego Alpha Omega Ministry spent a weekend on their annual camping trip near Palomar Mountain. College is hard. Life is hard. Temptation is hard. But guess who also faced challenges of life and never fell into temptation? Jesus.
Matthew 4: 10-11
“Jesus said to him “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him”
Our ministry was able to be completely removed from all of life’s distractions and worship our Lord resulting in great fellowship, unity, and connection. To hear God, feel God, and see God moving in our lives sometimes you have to be sent into the wilderness and that is exactly what we did! We all were able to enjoy the blessings God has given us down to being in tents, worshipping by the campfire, and reading God’s word. This was so refreshing to realize how simple life should be, focusing on our relationship with our sovereign Lord. It was a short-lived camping trip but so powerful and effective. Can’t wait for next years!
